What do I wear to a dance class?
Wear what’s comfortable to move in and, likely, sweat in.
Do I need to buy special shoes?
We ask that you bring a pair of shoes to change into when you arrive. You don’t need to spend money on dance shoes, especially as a beginner. Moving around the dance floor will be easier and safer if you wear a pair of shoes or boots that have a harder sole, such as leather or hard rubber.
What do I bring with me to a dance class or private lesson?
You don’t need to bring anything, but some students like to bring a water bottle.
What if I don’t have a dance partner?
A dance partner is not required. There will always be other students to dance with. If you’re joining with a partner, you may dance only with them or take turns with the other students.
Should I take group classes or private lessons?
It depends on your goals. You'll love our group classes if you want to learn the basics while making a few new friends.
Take private lessons if you’re looking for more focused, one-on-one instruction to master a dance style in a shorter amount of time.
