SIMPLY BALLROOM CALENDAR by Beth Wyatt

Bryan is a great instructor! My boyfriend and I had never ballroom danced, but now we love it.

Q. What do I wear to a dance class?
A. Wear what’s comfortable to move in and, likely, sweat in.

Q. What shoes should I wear?
A. We ask that you bring a pair of shoes to change into when you arrive. You don’t need to spend money on dance shoes, especially as a beginner. Moving around the dance floor will be easier and safer if you wear a pair of shoes or boots that have a harder sole, such as leather or hard rubber.

Q. What do I bring to a dance class or a private lesson?
A. You don’t need to bring anything with you, but some students like to bring water and a towel.

Q. Do I have to have a dance partner to take a group class?
A. No, a partner is not required. There will always be other students to dance with. If you’re joining with a partner, you may dance only with them or take turns with the other students.

Q. Should I take group classes or private lessons?
A. It depends on your goals. You'll love our group classes if you want to learn the basics while making a few new friends.

Take private lessons if you’re looking for more focused, one-on-one instruction to master a dance style in a shorter amount of time.
